Glad to see you've stumbled across my page... well, hope you didn't actually stumble, and if you did, you should be more careful next time. Anyway, now that you are here, pull up a chair and sit a while... grab some coffee... we may be here a while.

I'm a ren faire rookie (first faire was last year, King Richard's in Carver, MA) and I'm hooked. Although I am not in MA anymore, there are two faires within an hour of me in either direction, so it should be a good faire season (or at least I hope.)

I'm a costume designer, and have worked on three shows in the amateur theatre world on Cape Cod, so I design all of my own garb (which I'm sure a LOT of you do), so I'd love to hear stories of designs that worked, didn't work, or are in process. I'm REALLY looking for ways to wear the garb outside the faire season, but no luck so far. Any groups in VA that work year round or meet year round? Help me out. Nothing stinks more than designing a great piece, and only getting to use it for a couple of weeks. Come on. You agree, right?
